Comedy 42, Staffordshire’s Number 1 stand-up comedy club, is back again at McKenzie’s Restaurant in Lichfield! This month we have the incredible Bobby Mair headlining along with Kae Kurd, Red Richardson and your resident host Chris Purchase. As always there are two choices of tickets, comedy only or comedy with food.
Bobby is currently shooting his first comedy series for VICELAND, which airs this summer. Co-starring the love of his life Harriet Kemsley, the show follows the pair’s hilariously dysfunctional journey towards their impending marriage. Bobby is also a series regular in Channel 4’s World of Weird and is the roaming reporter for satirical political show Sam Delaney’s News Thing (RT). He also hosted and wrote The Bobby Mair Show for Comedy Central online which was quickly commissioned after his huge viral success on KSI:Demolished for the channel. Additionally Bobby is a seasoned panellist on 8 out of 10 Cats (C4), Never Mind The Buzzcocks (BBC2), Virtually famous (E4), Sweat the Small Stuff (BBC3), and Safe Word (ITV) to name a few.
Red Richardson is an up and coming young stand up comedian who has been performing consistently on the UK comedy club scene throughout 2015. In that time he has been a finalist in So You Think You’re Funny?, The Sqwauker Awards and Golden Jesters stand up award. He has also won comedy competitions at the world famous Comedy Store.
Kae Kurd is a British-Kurdish stand up comedian who has been nominated for awards by the Royal Television Society in 2017 and the Chortle Awards in 2016. He performed his show, Kurd Your Enthusiasm at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2017and has featured as a guest on the BBC Asian Network and has written for iNewsand TotalPolitics. He is the UK’s only professional standup comedian from a Kurdish background.
As always McKenzie’s Restaurant will be supplying everyone who purchases a food ticket with a fantastic meal from a select menu. Arrive at 6pm for food or 7.30pm for just comedy
